auDA Warns of Phishing Scam

Australia's domain name regulator, auDA (.au Domain Administration), has warned of a circulating phishing scam targeting Australian domain name holders

The scam includes an unsolicited email purporting to be from an auDA staff member. The email asks the recipient to provide copies of identity documents, such as their passport, driver's licence and Medicare card, and threatens cancellation of the recipient's domain name within 24 hours.

While Australian domain names have eligibility requirements, these do not include verifying your identity with auDA.
