Ben Thorn Appointed to QLS Committee

Mirai Legal is proud to announce that Ben Thorn has been appointed to the Queensland Law Society's Technology and Intellectual Property Committee for a 2-year term until June 2020.

The Technology and Intellectual Property Committee is one of 26 policy committees convened by the Queensland Law Society. Committees provide a key role in liaising with the QLS, government and industry stakeholders concerning policy and legislative issues.

The work of the QLS Committee system includes:

• providing expert advice to the Queensland Law Society
• preparing submissions, developing policy positions and participating in consultation with government on draft legislation and policy initiatives
• preparing guidance material for the profession
• advocating for law reform
